Welcome to Cornwall
What a lovely day we have had.
Started with a big breakfast at Woodleigh Coach House, just off the A30, in Devon. That set us up for the day!
Then down to Charlestown near St Austell .
A great old harbour.
Wonderful tall ships, used in many films, including the new adaption of Poldark. Soon to be shown on BBC TV.
The sun decided to come out for us as we walked down to the sea, and a seal poked his head up for a few seconds just to say "Welcome to Cornwall"!!
Then on to Caerhays Castle and gardens. One of our favourite.
The magnolias are just begining to open, so we will be calling again on our way home, when they should be fully out.
It just started raining as we walked back to the car.
We were certainly lucky as it poured down for the rest of the way, and MrC got quite wet unloading the car.
I thought i would post my blip before unpacking.
(Priorities!)
Now I think we might open a bottle to celebrate our return to one of our favourite places!
