Coral beach

We left early this morning to find Coral beach that Candice had visited during her last visit to Airlie Beach.
A walk through the rain forest led us out onto this beach that was entirely made up of "rubble", small bits of dead coral. It was beautiful and secluded. We sat on the beach and watched a couple of storms pass by on the ocean before walking back to the car and getting drenched by a storm that passed over us!
Then we started the last leg of our drive to Townsville, a 3 hour drive today. We stopped for lunch at a coffee shop chosen purely by ratings online, and definitely not for the way it looked from the outside. The food was delicious!
In Townsville, we signed Candice into her college and had a look at her room, before finding our accommodation for the night, buying some take aways to avoid the Valentines night crowd and collapsing into bed for a well deserved sleep.
