Shapes and shadows

At school.

I've been waiting through the winter to take this shot (but realise it's of absolutely no interest to anyone apart from me.)

It just means the sun is now strong enough to cast this shadow on the Quad. And I really like this shadow, although I'm still a bit embarrassed to call it a Quad. I'd call it a playground. But I'm told Quad is the correct artictectural term for a space, roughly square or oblong in shape, bordered by buildings on all sides, so there you go.

It was such beautiful weather today. I did a quick 3.5km walk with friends to the park and back at lunchtime in a effort to create time away from our screens and desks. Hopefully it will become an easy habit to keep up, especially in spring sunshine.

Tom's back at school, a day on the sofa did him good, Grace has had a huge week of sport and schoolwork and Sal is practicing for a gymnastics competition on Sunday. We needed that pizza tonight :-)
