Eventful Day

Did not start well - awoke to find our cat Autumn unable to walk. The vet diagnosed a blood clot and she didn't survive.  
Better parts
1. Received a call my cuzzie Jim to say he was over from Aussie and was in Wellington so I went and had a couple of beers and watched the Black Caps bowlers demolish the Aussie team (fortunately we survived their comeback and won the match - possibly the most epic match I've ever seen).
2. Bought our foreign cash for our trip to Europe next month
3. Had lunch in town with B
4. Spotted the emerging monarch from the swan plant next door.
