Our First Apple!

Noticed an apple had fallen from one of the two espalier apple trees, so here it is - our first apple, and a lovely specimen. Still can’t remember what type it is!

By the time I came to photograph it was dark outside,  so I thought I’d wash the muck off it, and pop it on a plate to give some sense of relative size.

I thought the water under the kitchen worktop lights might add interest too - but it lacked vibrancy. So I thought I’d dry the apple and take the shot again. On the tree these apples have a matt appearance - but when I dried it  and gave it rub with the tea towel it came out nice and shiny, looking like quite a different apple :)
