Back in Oz

Well, here I am back home in Australia. Flights were long and uncomfortable. To all you sprawlers out there, stop it. My airplane seat is mine, not half yours! But sprawler aside, it wasn't too bad. Emirates cabin crew were excellent. 

I am now staying at my sister's place until my shipment arrives. Her  birdbath attracts all kinds of interesting, and noisy, birds. I'm loving listening to the gentle warble of our magpies, and the rather more raucous shouts of the sulphur crested cockatoos and crows.

This morning we went out early to monitor an eagle. He's quite young and wasn't ready to wake up, but we did find where he was sleeping (with the help of radio tracking technology). We saw cows - and they were moving - and again, many birds. More cockatoos, willy wagtails, choughs, etc. etc. Delightful, and peaceful.
