Magnum

Much as I fancy an ice cream this evening, the only Magnum on offer is this one.

We are having a celebratory weekend, by reason of the letter from the bank which says that come Monday, our house is all ours. 

It has been a long, hard road made punishing by our personal choices. The achievement is actually remarkable, given the facts of our situation.

We done well.

There will be a 3 course celebratory meal tomorrow, the last course  of which will be Mr L's new party piece: the "Champagne" Jelly.

In this case, Champagne will be substituted for by Prosecco; this Magnum of which came free with our Christmas order from Naked Wine.

Mr L made the jelly this evening and we polished off the remainder of the magnum with our Risotto ai gamberetti, which was proper tasty.

Tomorrow there will be genuine Champagne because it really is a happening worth celebrating properly.

What? Oh, Orkney hand-dived Queenie Scallops with Black Pudding and Apple, Roast Duckling with Black Cherry Sauce, the Champagne Jelly and probably a piece of cheese and a glass of Port.

No, you can't come. Sorry.
