Tide Mills
Ruined village between Seaford and Newhaven. You can see the remains of one of the mill ponds, and you may be able to spot the station, Tide Mills Halt, now disused, which served the village which grew up round the mill for the workers. In the 19th century the beach nearby was used to land smuggled goods, and William Catt who owned the mill and village had to cooperate with the gang which controlled the area.
