wild irises

This evening Renee and I drove to McDonald's for an ice cream cone - a ritual. At the drive-thru we placed our order, paid $1.56 at the first window and picked up at the second window where we received the "only an ice cream" look from the attendant. Then we drove to a location like Somenos Marsh where we ate the ice cream cone that we shared - five licks for me and the rest for Renee.

The water level in the marsh has dropped. We heard red wing black birds and saw the irises.
