mixed waders

Firstly, a huge thank you for all the comments stars and favs for yesterdays owl, I am still excited at seeming them hunt.

Today I was travelling again, this time from Waltham Abbey to Brentwood but popped into the only RSPB reserve within the M25, Rainham Marshes. I have to say I was underwhelmed, OK I was greeted by "we are closing soon" which isn't the best greeting but then the general traffic, train and industry noise overwhelmed anything the few birds present could muster. In all I just had time to take a shot of these waders in the very far distance. I think they are grey plover and dunlin but will gladly accept being corrected as I am a learner.

That's nature for you one evening brilliant the next disappointing.
