The weather has been extremely changeable on this trip south - on Tuesday I left bright sunshine in Edinburgh to pass through a considerable snowstorm in the Lake District. By the time I returned today all the snow had in the LD had melted again and it was starting to look quite spring-like. It was perishing when I got out at Edinburgh, mind.
