A Good Day

Today was the day hubby was to have an Angiogram.  As you can see, all went well!  We were at the hospital by 6:30 AM.  The procedure was completed by around 10:00 and he was back in his room looking happy it all went so well.  They now use a "Mynx Vascular Closure Device" that is slipped just above the puncture site through the sheath used to perform the procedure.  He has had this procedure done before and he would have to lay a few hours with a weight on the area to make sure there is not a bleed through.  We were excited to know this.  Everything was done and he was dismissed right after 1:00 PM.  Our girls were so sweet and came up to be with us, so we left and had a nice lunch together in the hospital restaurant before heading home. 

I made this collage to remember our day by.  First, hubby waiting, then when it was all done and he was released to go home, a nice lunch in the restaurant and him looking out on the grounds outside.  The bottom row show "his girls" by quite a work of art in the waiting room outside the restaurant.  Hubby heading to the car and a beautiful sunset as we arrived home.

The Dr. was called to surgery so didn't get a chance to talk to us about the next step.  We had to leave, knowing we would probably be back in a week or so.  We'll have to wait and see what the "pictures" showed.  So, continued at a later date. :-)
