Thoughts of a Mummy

How do you lose your child in your own house??

I took Daisy-May to gymnastics today and left Peach at home with Ruby, Penny and Ashleigh. When I got home Peach informed me that we've lost one. Now at the time he was getting the jacket potatoes out of the oven, so my thoughts were that he'd "lost" a potato somehow.

Peach then went on to explain that whilst I was out, it dawned on him that he hadn't seen Penny for a while. So he had a look round downstairs and in the garden but couldn't find her and she wasn't responding to her name being called. He went upstairs to find her fast asleep in her bed. This was at 5pm today!

When at Totstime this morning, Penny seemed to be struggling a little with the heat. We got home at lunchtime and she was practically asleep as we pulled on the drive. I brought Penny into the house, took her shoes off and explained to her that I was going to get Ruby and Ashleigh in, make some lunch and then she can have her nap. After getting Ruby & Ashleigh in, she had already took herself off to bed!

Poor Penny, when poorly she really does suffer.

Note - Peach was sitting in the lounge with full view of our garden and therefore knew that Penny would not have escaped our garden. At no point was there any concern that Penny was in any danger or harm.
