Meadow
What another corking day! Decided to take a drive to the Wyre forest, but en route passed through Bewdley which was heaving with people, many wearing red, white and blue and waving flags. Parked up for an hour and joined in the celebrations as the Olympic torch was carried down the main street. It was a great atmosphere and everyone seemed in merry spirits (largely in part due to the obvious excessive alcohol consumption!) but all were in good humour.
Once at the forest the photo opportunities were endless and we completely lost track of time wandering along the tracks. An hour was spent sitting in a meadow of wild garlic, bluebells and buttercups. A stream ran through and the Swifts were circling overhead before swooping into an old building to feed their young. The icing on the cake was spying a group of about 7 deer moving quietly through the trees! I didn't even attempt a picture. Sometimes these moments have to be savoured with the naked eye!!
