fire!

the highlight of a very rough day was a fire. yes, a VERY rough day. we started smelling smoke, so called the fire department. they spent some time with us, checking wires and such. this gentleman had a heat sensing camera that i was fascinated with. once it was determined we were not in immediate danger, he showed me the camera and demonstrated it's uses for me. they then wen next door to check in on that business and found an employee there had caught a towel on fire and put it in a wicker basket.  no idea why. but the fire was long out before the firemen got there.
