d & Bingley

Still clearing out, so had a trip to Bingley today to take some more stuff to the charity shop and an old vacuum cleaner to the tip waste recycling centre, so the photo today had to be the slow demolition of the Bradford and Bingley.

There seems to be a real sense of sadness in the town as it watches its heart being ripped out of it. I chatted to a young lady today who has always been able to see it out of her bedroom window, she was there taking photographs as well.  The town is in need of some real investment and some proper shops. Chatting to the lady in the Charity shop she was saying that their takings are down 50 % at the moment and donations of stuff are down too. Probably a good job I am still clearing out, I might be single handedly keeping a shop in Bingley open! 

Found it quite poignant that Mr Bradford had gone but Mr Bingley was hanging on for another day!
