Bog of Allen Kildare Ireland

It was such a beautiful day today, bright blue skies and sunshine all day...
I took my Mum for a drive to visit a friend of ours..
And although we live in a town this tranquil rural scene is very close to us...
It is the Bog of Allen, one of the oldest bogs in Ireland..
As you can see from the turf stacked in the background of the picture it is still very much a 'working bog'...
I love this weather...... we get so little of it, makes it all the more enjoyable when we do....
