Having a Breather

Phew, warm and lovely today but you will not hear me saying "It's too hot" because I just love being outdoors in the sunshine, and if it's hot, then sit in the shade with a cool drink is the way to go.

So, the Thursday Club were piled into the car, after school and we headed a couple of miles along the road to Scone Palace, home of the Earl of Mansfield. Outlaw Pete was blaring and we "sung" along at the top of our voices. The grounds are wonderful for kids to play, there is a fantastic maze, great trees to climb (NOT ME), wonderful wide open green space to run and set in the trees, a great play park with zip slide. I decided to get a grounds only pass for the season, so we can come here after school or weekends. We started with a picnic under the shade of the trees and the boys then got their swords and played at killing one another!

Ben climbed up on this seat for a 1 minute breather.
