Coatbridge, Lanarkshire

Although I often drive through Coatbridge, I never find myself on foot in this part of the town centre, so I had not registered the spruced up area near the fountain and the railway bridge, close to the wonderful Summerlee Heritage Museum,  until I was a passenger in the car the other day.

I love this stunning industrial sculpture. I wouldn't have wanted to be a miner, but the notion of being a buttocker or a bottomer is interesting!
