Incoming sparrow
I have been trying to capture a sparrow in flight for a little while so I set up the camera, put bread in the bowl and waited. There were a lot of entertaining shots as the sparrows gathered, bickered and snatched but it was this dainty little female coming into land that was my favourite.
I was fascinated to see that although I had set the shutter speed at 1/1000, the wings still showed a blur at the tips. They must flap their wings incredibly fast.
