night off
Heavens to betsy. An end may be in sight. Still, that's what I thought at ten past four this afternoon and it didn't prevent me still being at work at a quarter past six. Still, better than yesterday's half past seven and I managed to get away for a medim walk at lunchtime and felt so much better this afternoon compared to yesterday when I had ten minutes. I might pointedly set my phone alarm to go off on future days at a time appropriate to getting enough outside in to last the afternoon and not mind staying past sunset. Anyway, I haven't really had enough exercise today but will give the shoes an evening off in the hope of getting to sleep an half-hour earlier so that the whole cycle may begin afresh upon the morrow's clean new morning.
On my lucky lunch I witnessed the polices either doing some real-traffic driver training or otherwise generally poncing about at dangerously high speed for no visible reason. They didn't seem to be chasing anybody and drove across from Palmerston Place to Torphichen Street at twenty to two then from Lothian Road to Queensferry Street forty minutes later. It probably all ended in tears. Much safer down by the river where traffic accidents are less likely and there are nice things to look at.
I shall look at all the things I have missed sometime soon. I shall sleep now and rise early and leave early enough to take the shot I couldn't be bothered to get on the way home.
