Blacksboat

A dreich, grey and snowy morning turned into a pleasant sunny afternoon, when a lot of lying snow melted.
This is the Spey at Blacksboat, where there has been a bridge for many years. Originally, all these crossing places were crossed by rowing boat ferries, available on demand, with the boat keeper living in a cottage at the bridge. Even today, the local farmer who lives in the neighbouring house is known as John the Boat.
