Across The River

I may have used that title before...

View from Vaprio D'Adda towards Canonica D'Adda and the first line of the Alps to the North.  Yes, you might have guessed that the river is called The Adda.

This is the view that Leonardo da Vinci enjoyed while staying at the Villa Melzi various times in his life and for a period of several years while studying hydraulics and civil engineering from 1511-1513.  He purportedly kept the Mona Lisa with him in his room during this time.

OK, probably repeated that story a few times too.  (and I am not even a history buff!)
