On our way to Vientiane

We woke up in the morning feeling refreshed had a decent breakfast at the hotel restaurant and went for wander around Vang Vieng.  Its a kind of nothing town.  Mainly existing because of backpackers.  it was nice enough for a wander and a small amount of shopping.  Went back to the hotel relaxed for a while went to take some photos and waited for the mini bus to pick us up.  We went to pay the bill for the room and found they did not card so had to jump on the back of a motorbike to the nearest ATM.  After paying we then had to wait over an hour for the minibus to turn up.  After a nice journey down to Vientiane stopping only once at a service station which still had a Santa outside.  We arrived in Vientiane checked in to our lovely boutique hotel and went for a wander.  There isn't to much to Vientiane apart from Buddhist temples (wats) but we wandered around some shops and a pretty rubbish night market.  Ate at a fantastic restaurant run by former street children and a classy french restaurant.  Realized there was nothing else to do so went to bed.
