Surfing the Pacific
Maddy and Erica kindly picked up some cinnamon buns for breakfast, which were amazing! Then we all packed up, put on our cozzies and jumped in the car to the surf rental shop. Maddy and Erica hired two surfboards and put them on top of their car, while the rest of us squeezed into our hired wetsuits. We decided to just go to Chesterman's as it was close by and has small, beginner size waves. WE HAD SO MUCH FUN! Even when you didn't have one of the boards, jumping through the surf and watching everyone else was entertaining enough. I didn't manage to stand up but had fun body-boarding! After an hour and a bit, our stomachs lead us back to the beach where mum and snagger were sunbathing- we pulled off our super thick wetsuits and stuffed ourselves with sandwiches! Then it was time to say goodbye to Erica and Maddy (cry face) and make the journey back. We stopped at Cathedral Grove and saw a 76m tree, the next stop was Timmy H for a coffee for the others and a doughnut each! When we got back to UVic we unloaded and Mum and I went down to Smuggler's Cove for a nice last supper...
