star magnolia

This is what a star magnolia should look like when it is open. My  tree is covered with blooms (they are about 4 inches across.....and I really liked the shape of this one......so I had to blip another.

We came home today.  Number 1 grandson was broke so he asked if he could come over today after school to earn some money....of course, I said yes.....he helped prune my apples and plum trees and moved some plants for me. He is big and strong...just what I needed in my garden. (Don't tell him, but I would pay him to just hang out with me!!!! ) I love the casual time together as we work and talk. Sweet.
