House of the Spirits

The title of this blip was inspired by Isabel Allende, the Chilean writer's novel 'La Casa de los Esperitus' (The House of the Spirits).

However, these are real Spirit Houses. In the Thai culture, every house or public building has a spirit house. The Thais deeply believe in the power of the spirits, whom they revere and pay tributes everyday.
This is the triple spirit houses of my new condo in Bangkok. They look absolutely beautiful. And today's light make them even more noticeable. 
As a matter of fact, it is quite unusual to have three spirit houses in a row. As a rule, there is one only.
I noticed that the Thais, who come by always bow with their two hands joined together (a traditional Thai custom of saluting) and many just stop and pray there for a while.
