Gray Cottage .......

Nazareth, Pa.

Relatively speaking, America is a pretty young country.  That's  why when I read that the Mono-Monday topic for today was "ancient buildings", I just had to groan.

We don't have buildings here that are centuries old.  So I had to do a quick search online this morning to see what the oldest building I could find around here.

Just up the road from us is Nazareth.  Nazareth was founded in 1740 by immigrants from Germany of the Protestant faith and I knew that there were several old buildings still standing there.  This is Gray Cottage which was built around 1740 by Moravian settlers.

That's as ancient as I could find!
