Milestone!

Definitely not my birthday nor my age, I reached a personal milestone today, on 23 February 1990, I started my current job (albeit the company had a different name) & I didn’t  have any idea what I was letting myself in for. There have been many challenges over the years, financial woes, a demerger, a major fire, ERP installation. Looking back, I cannot believe all the challenges that have had to be overcome, it often wasn't easy but I got through them.

On the plus side:

Through work I have made some great friends.
I live close enough to work to be able to go home at lunchtime, take a longer break in the winter time (most days) to walk Inca at The Argory in daylight (but I certainly put in the hours).
I don’t have to spend time in traffic jams heading to & from work.
I now have a great bunch (I call them the dream team), working with me in the accounts department (this wasn’t always the case, in fact the opposite for a time).

On the negative side

Business has become even more cut throat over the years. some difficult personalities, make for even more challenges than I believe we should have to deal with to do our job efficiently.
In the end it was just another work day, only it meant something to me.
