2nd date - 12th August - Marsden Grotto Part 3
After leaving the Glass Centre, Andy asked me if I was hungry. I was....but didn't want to appear like I was greedy or ate too much, so coyishly said "a little bit" but truth was, I remember I was starving!
He said he knew a place that was quite unusual........he took me to the Marsen Grotto which is a restaurant carved into the rock on the shore.
You get in a lift to go down to it - the entrance door is at the car park. I was quite fascinated.....but then, everything this man did amazed me so far. I was intrigued by the interior, and loved that he was taking me to dinner......it was such an unusual place. We went outside, on the beach, and there was this massive rock sitting just off the sand. The whole thing felt really romantic, and I just loved him for it.
He dropped me off at the train station.....but later I found out he took over 45mins just to get out of the car park :( But he did say that I had "worn him out" :)
I had the most wonderful day, and still remember so much about it......even though it was more than ten years ago.
