Thai by the Beach
Just back from our little trip to New Zealand, and then all hands on deck to find Zoe a place to live in Sydney near her first position as a physio at St George Hospital. It's an area where my Mum grew up in, but none of us are very familiar with it, so it was a dash down to the area after work.
There's a possible flat that Zoe may get (via friends of friends on Facebook) so we've driven down to Kogarah to check it out from the outside. Dinner at nearby Brighten-le-Sands at Thai by the Beach on the Grand Parade. Busy and bustling by the water, it actually has a rather cosmopolitan feel about it with stacks of people out to chat and be seen, much like the european evening promenade. Majorly spoilt by the hotted up cars tearing past at speed and high volume, filled with young men out to be seen and admired.
There wasn't a lot of admiring to be done on our part.
