Mermaid and the Moon

Left the file huge so the curious can explore details... or lack of detail which I am kinda pleased with - normally I am quite anal so although a bit twee - this is a bit of a breakthrough for me.
It's time to step away from the painting and just look at it for a while. The colours in today's shot are natural daytime ones unlike yesterday's which was taken at night in electric light.
Things to think about:
1.I've rubbed the masking fluid off the moon and just lft the bare paper - wonder if I can get away with that?
2. I've left the masking fluid on the hair - I wonder if that works?
3. Contemplating adding gold leaf to the moon
4. Thinking about using gold tube lining pen in the hair.
Time to go for a swim.
