Year Three

By RobotChicken

2 Years!

Well two years ago today this little chap became part of our family.

Abandoned at a rest stop late one Sunday evening, wandering round desperately looking for his owner who had long since left.

Our conclusion is that he jumped out of a car that had made a toilet stop. Imagine being the family who drove another couple of hundred miles and then searching the car for the suspiciously quiet dog - and he's not there.

Mason though has been our little success story. When we got him he probably had more in common with the cushions on the sofa, and less in common with a dog.

But in the two years with us, he's changed back into a dog - he loves going for a walk, he's happy to go outside on his own, house trained (yeah, seriously), and isn't quite so needy that he sleeps in our bed every night (he has his own bed these days). He's also a lot less needy these days - doesn't follow my wife round the house half as much as he used (he spent at least his first year never letting her out of his sight).

He really is our other little success story.

(At least his tongue is in focus....)
