Routine
We all have our exercise routines. Every morning, some stretching, yoga, Tai chi, PT for the back, ….then my favorite is a row on the water. Our ocean going shell is on the dock here at the island in decent weather, -we take the cover off, and set up the oars and riggers in the same way where we will put it in next to the dock to rig it. ( in the summer it can be launched more easily from the low grey rowing float) This is a well used 1 or 2 person Alden with removable riggers. The blue things, and the black one, are butt pads.
Over the years as we’ve gotten “older’, :-) I'm afraid we’ve become fair-weather rowers— no more rowing in the dark, nor when the temperature is under 40F/4.4C, nor in big chop or wind or hard rain (some rain can be lovely) . So that means we walk more! No matter. Part of the routine. Gotta keep moving……
