Good old fashioned pub grub (food)
Dreadful day today weather wise across most of the UK! Buckets of rain and very high winds (especially in Gloucestershire where I was visiting my grandson, Oliver). So off to the local country pub we went for Sunday lunch. This is a really "olde worlde" type of place called the Bumble Bee and it has real log fires (none of your artificial gas fired ones!). We were so lucky to be sitting right next to this one whilst the wind was howling outside. Most people go for the traditional English Sunday lunch complete with Yorkshire pudding and "pig in a blanket". But today I had one of their home-made chicken pies with flaky pastry crust - just look at that - what do you think!
