Up early for the now regular Sunday morning bike ride. Today was a tour of the local obstacle course known, with no hint of irony, as the Fife Coastal Path. It's got some nice bits. The new road to North Queensferry gives a good view of the new bridge behind the reeds.
Home by 10 to an empty house and had the bikes washed just before the rain . Today is founder's day where all good scouts go to church to commemorate Baden Powell (I think). Ellen read some slightly gibberish passage about Love and was applauded.
After falling asleep we all headed out to Kirkcaldy looking for hinges and a little hasp for Ewan's box. In truth it's a bit wonky but all the wonk is down to me gluing it up wonkily. I think the base and the little are both slightly oppositely wonky, which adds up to be a significant wonk-factor. I did say that he should have got me to make three and the third one would have been OK. But it'll keep whatever it is he intends to padlock inside it. At least it's too wee for his sister.
And planted three apple trees.
