Going topless

Mr A fulfilled a boyhood dream today....he purchased this 1986 Vauxhall Cavalier convertible.

He had a cavalier as his first car and always wanted the convertible but could never afford one.

He saw this one on eBay, probably around August last year, but then we had holidays, then the owner had holidays, so Mr A decided to wait until spring to see if it was still for sale.

The car was in Swansea, so when Mr A found out he would be working there on the match, he got in touch with the guy and arranged to have a look.
It's been kept in storage over winter, so it was pretty clear that the owner has taken good care of it.

It's in better condition than the others he's looked at, and better than he expected too; so with minimal haggling (the guy is selling it due to him being terminally ill), the deal was done and he drove it all the way home without any issues.

Although it's a nice car, it's pretty basic compared to what we are used to nowadays. As Mr A rolled down the window to greet me, he excitedly exclaimed 'it's got a cassette player'!
He had thought it had power steering, but it doesn't, so that's me not driving it!

The other grievance is that my car has been 'temporarily' evicted from the garage to make room for this. It better had be temporary Mister!!!!!!

All we need now is some nice weather so we can drive around topless well, not us....the car! :-)
