Monkey Puzzle Tree's last days

The Monkey Puzzle tree that has graced Kirkbank Road for decades is now unsafe and is to be felled. Many people, including generations of children making their way to the old primary school, will have passed it by and recognised it as a landmark in this part of Burntisland. So Louise and I went to say farewell today. George and his family, who have been custodians of the tree for over 2 decades, will feel safer in their home and, no doubt, find new light shed upon their home. Farewell tree.
