A very splendid Alan.

I was back at Powis Castle this morning- volunteering, it was a vile day as far as the weather was concerned- cold , rain and sleet. The peacocks weren't happy. This is Alan, cock of the loft, at the main entry to the castle- he obviously feels this is where he belongs. However, there is a young pretender- Sidney. He used to stand in the doorway to the castle restaurant, as far away from the main entrance as is possible- he had very few female followers, but this year he's moved up a doorway to the shop entrance, a doorway closer to Alan, and today he had three adoring females. Who needs Eastenders!!!
