Sydney Mardi Gras - Fair Day

This is the first event of the Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, held in beautiful Victoria Park.

Lots of different activities and entertainment and of course, a fair number of outrageously dressed people.
There were almost as many dogs as people, so have included a few in a flickr set.

It was ridiculously hot and muggy, so I didn't stay long.

This fellow was MC at one stage, introducing some great bands and a couple of celebrities.
