Dear Shirley...

I did my homework tonight for bible study and wrote my letter to Shirley who over 10 years ago took the time to show me love and acceptance, and came to my call for help at 11pm one night although she had only ever met me once before and that had been a couple of months before I got in contact wanting help. She showed me how to truly love someone where they were at because Jesus loves them. Never once did she give up on me although I continued to live my life drinking and making excuses and lying. Shirley, Hannah, Lydia and Esther all showed me that Jesus loves me, and that is the reason I am still alive today. I can never thank them enough for what they have given me. I hope that I touch other peoples lives in the way they have touched mine.
