Costa Rican Rainforest Canopy

Couple of nice outings today to the Areno volcano area. In the morning, we got to take a nice hike across several hanging bridges, above the rainforest's canopy (today's blip is from one of the bridges). Luscious landscape and the sun even made an appearance, after tropical rains drenched us earlier.

The afternoon featured a walk around the base of the Areno volcano itself; very instructive tour, with spectacular landscapes again. It was last active about 15 years ago; this volcano doesn't produce flowing lava, only volcanic rocks that roll down the sides, making this volcano into a perfect pyramid shape. So many more facts to be told, but I can only get wifi at the bar and …. well, you know ;)
