Swallowtail Butterfly
The wet weather of the previous two days here in Lunigiana gave way to much brighter and warmer conditions today, giving me an opportunity to take a delightful stroll through the local olive grove.
One advantage of the exceptionally wet Tuscan spring this year is that the wild flowers are even more spectacular than usual this year, and this morning's warm sunny weather brought out many butterflies. This beautiful Scarce Swallowtail (Iphiclides podalirius) was extremely obliging, posing on this flower for me to take plenty of photos of it.
