Norwich pops
We went to a concert this evening. St Andrew's Hall is one of many churches in Norwich which have been converted to alternate uses. It is not ideal as a concert venue - it is a very old building, and as such, not particularly noise proof - resulting in disturbances within from sirens or other jollifications outside, and disturbance to the surrounding residences by music from within the hall.
But it is the best Norwich can manage for orchestral concerts. Sadly the attendance at tonight's concert was poor. The Hall was, as you can see, only about half full.
The concert was a programme of music of the sort played often on Classic FM - but included the world première of a guitar concerto by John Brunning. We enjoyed it.
