A grand day out at Loughborough's Great Central Railway, if you haven't visited - you should.  Several stations along their many miles of track in 50s, 40s, Edwardian and 70s styles all worth a poke around, not that we had time.  This is dad reversing the 9F :-)

It was also a great opportunity to catch up with an old friend and young son, a long time volunteer and still living a couple of miles away, on the Diesel recce and then in the waiting room (with roaring coal fire and 50s comforts) while dad was charging up to Leicester North.  We must get together for a reunion, even just a small walk around our old engineering blocks on the university campus showed a huge amount of change!

Impressive engineering and activities at the Great Central, go have a look.  Very atmospheric as well.
