Female Siskin
Apologies for going off the Blip grid for a while, I've decided that I should give you quality photos rather than quantity. Today we had a photo society trip to Lake Vyrnwy which should have had a landscape focus, however delayed arrival thanks to closures on the M6 and A5 meant that the lake was too choppy to make for good landscapes and so we spent most of the day in the RSPB bird hide. We were treated to a good variety of visitors, a pair of Siskins, blue, coal and great tits, chaffinches in abundance, some nuthatches and the odd pheasant or two.
We took a wander up to Rhiwargor Waterfall which was well worth it in spite of the climb in a blizzard!
Hope you had a good day.
