Saturday Sewing School!

After much nagging, youngest wanted to learn to sew and found the sewing machine.  I was about to give this sewing machine away to charity as its been sitting in my loft for a good ten years and hadn't been used for nearly fifteen years.  Checked it out and it still works as you can see.  It must be at least over 30 years old!

We bought a couple of patches of material so she could have a practise and then I had to teach  her to pin and tack and then use the machine.  She did well but had a few wobbly moments.  The final result is at the bottom of the picture but not bad for a first time attempt.
