Bund

Second day in Shanghai

For our second day in Shanghai we decided to go and walk around in Pudong. This is the new economic centre of Shanghai, with all the big skyscrapers. It used to be one of the poorest areas of Shanghai, but manifested itself into something big now.

We took the subway there, since you have to go across the water, and walked along the streets with very, very high buildings.
Today was a very warm day and after a while I didn't want to walk anymore. Luckily Beth felt the same way and of course she found us a Starbucks. We found a table with a parasol and decided to sit for a little while. Or just for some time. Or maybe an hour or so. I was so nice, just watching the Bund, watching the boots pass by on the river, sitting with my feet up and writing a bit.

After a while we went back to the other side of the river again. Walked around the Bund, this time actually looking at the buildings, and went back for dinner.
We had some noodle soup at this ramen place you see everywhere. It was really good. I had a great beef tomato noodle.

When we got back at the hostel I was exhausted. I wanted to write some more and read a little bit more about Shanghai. Instead, I only listened to some music. And maybe not even that, because I was a sleep quite quickly.
