Lust & The Apple
We live in a quiet area, not a lot changes here... so when something does change there's usually a lot of interest. Since the village primary school closed in 2007 (boohissboo, MrSAG woohoo), there's been much talk of what would happen to the building and various rumours including one that an artist might be living in it!
Well, an art gallery opened up in it last week, Lust & The Apple, and plans to host 3 exhibitions every quarter for the next 2 years so we spent this afternoon not only looking around the exhibits but the school too. It was all quite interesting, with exhibits both inside and out.
This blip is within Ms H's old classroom, although she was "raging" this wall was put up to separate it from the dinner hall. I liked these 2 exhibits, which feature paint dripping into the gutters below, but especially liked how the school itself weaved it's way into the scene. We're looking forward to see what comes along in the future!
