I suppose these stands of cereal are left to hide and feed the game birds? They hide the deer and rabbits, certainly, but I would need my agricultural friends to tell me what this grain is? It looks like the millet we uses to give 'Fred', the budgie, when I was little.

Anyhow, a difficult day trying to fight off a virus [First this Winter!]. Obviously, Tess, the dog, doesn't understand you are feeling 'under-the-weather' and wants to romp far and wide. Washing a muddy dog when you aren't up to scratch is not recommended!
